Brave the Journey

Keep what we have locked in your heart,
We will always be better together than apart.
Listen to God and keep your doubts low,
Pray to understand what others seem to know.

The clock keeps ticking and there’s worry of kin,
But one story must finish before another can begin.
There will be trials that seem hopelessly unfair,
And times when loneliness is more than you can bear.

There’ll be times when you want to pack up and leave,
And other days of regret for the tangled webs you weave.
You can hide like a wounded deer or wait like a sitting duck,
But keep in mind the sun only shines on one side of luck.

Allow nature’s turmoil to calm the spirit in you,
As clouds part and gray skies turn a brilliant blue.
Every day is another chance to start your life new,
Brave your journey and shed the armor hindering you.
