How’s Bill?

For those of you who remember my horse Bill, I thought you might be interested in the phone call I made yesterday. All the horses I’ve sold leave with a buy back option, in other words they can’t be sold until I’m given the first option to purchase them back. So every now and again I check on everybody’s whereabouts, this time it was Bill’s turn. Although I must admit I figured this call wouldn’t have a pleasant outcome.

I sold Bill as an old man to an older lady that had little experience with horses. I knew he would take care of her, Bill was gentle and quiet under saddle, and a perfect fit for a timid rider.

That was years ago, I thought for sure I would hear that my old man Bill was gone, after all, he would be at least 30 years old now. But to my pleasant surprise Bill is still with the lady I sold him to. Standing on shredded Nike footing in a covered pen eating carrots and apples and TRAIL RIDING every weekend! 🙂

Lucky Bill. It is so wonderful to hear stories about people who truly love their animals instead of all the sad stories in the news. Thanks for telling us about Bill
