Ranch Sign Makeover

The ranch is in bad need of a new sign, this is my new project.  The sign rests on an old wagon wheel that I bought at an antique shop in Prescott, Arizona. It’s the sign on my home page at the upper right corner, of course it doesn’t look like that anymore.  The sun has destroyed it, but I think it is salvageable. The actual wooden sign was a gift from my daughter when we bought the ranch.  It sits on the front porch of the ranch, and although it’s weathered look indeed adds character, it is now barely readable from the street.

The TBN Ranch name, in part comes from a resort ranch in Wisconsin that played a rather substantial role in my upbringing.  Not only do I remember their ranch sign, but I have various pictures of it. I thought maybe with a little luck mixed in with my marginal artistic talent I could produce a near replica. I rummaged through my Dad’s garage and found an electric sander, now all I need is a couple brushes, paint, and sealer.  It will be an improvement no matter what…  I think.

Considering all the other projects you’ve tackled I suppose your new sign will rival any las Vegas.
