Diatomaceous Earth, Food Grade

Natural Parasite Control for Chickens
Internal & External

Diatomaceous Earth is a poultry-keeper’s best friend. It’s 100% natural, safe and non-toxic, and is used to help prevent intestinal worms, mites and lice.  Diatomaceous earth is an abrasive, fine white powder made of the tiny fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of algae. It does not contain synthetic chemicals.

Food-grade  Diatomaceous Earth is safe for your pet chickens and it’s safe for you to eat their eggs. To help prevent mites or lice, sprinkle some in the nest boxes, coop bedding, and especially in your chickens’ dust bathing area. To treat a current infestation in your flock, apply it directly to your birds, especially beneath their wings and around their vents.  This product is 100% non-toxic and it will not harm children, pets, livestock, poultry plants or the planet.  DE dries out cage floor waste, lessening odor, and reducing fly populations.  Daily use in feed provides your birds with valuable trace minerals that results in better feathering and egg production.

• Note:
A flour sifter works nicely for application of DE.
Make sure label on bag or tub says Chemical Codex Food Grade.
