About Those Ants

My last post At War with Ants has a new development, and thanks to YouTube, I’ve a new plan of attack. So far nothing has worked to get rid of them,  so before I reach for the gasoline, I’ve now something new to try.

Corn Meal! Really? They eat it, the corn meal expands, they can’t digest it… and the ant explodes. COOL! It doesn’t harm birds… I checked. Last night I put out the corn meal, this morning I see tons of ants all over it. I better see dead ones by tonight, or tomorrow morning I’m using gasoline and ending this saga once and for all.

Here’s the rather boring video showing a massive reduction of ants using corn meal.

Never heard of this before,,, great share…

  2. I used corm meal with great success! I poured a whole heap on our red ant hills in the yard, then when I saw them swarming all over the meal, I poured gasoline on them and lit it up! Whooosh, no more ants and you end up smelling like a taco! Ha ha ha!
