Northern Cardinals are found in Arizona, but sightings in the Phoenix area are rare. The Cardinal’s range covers the entire Eastern half of the US, most of Mexico and only a tiny slice of Southeastern Arizona.
I’ve never seen a Cardinal here before, what a nice surprise… and a pic too? Lucky me!
We have many cardinals here and I love them! Such a bright and cheery bird – and they help other birds too! I’ve often seen cardinals assist in protecting fledglings who are just making their debut out of the nest.
Beautiful capture of the cardinal, don’t they look pretty in green grass? I think they are very pretty in snow too. Good job capturing him when he came to visit your ranch, maybe he will stay there. Hugs
As soon as I took the pic it flew away… hope that wasn’t the last visit!
Great shot and glad you got see one!
Thanks! Lucky my camera was handy!
For sure!!
It is so pretty
Thanks!
Good capture of a beautiful visitor…
Thanks friend… not much wildlife around here! Lucky shot. 🙂
I love cardinals. They are one of my favorite birds.
I loved the splash of color in the desert, most everything is so drab around here.
