Saguaro Lake, Arizona

This was our day trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary last weekend. We were married on that type of boat (although it was much smaller back then). Our immediate family was aboard, the Justice of the Peace, and of course our ship’s Captain.  Picnic style fixin’s, family, and 4 hours on the water in one of the best scenic territories in Arizona…  it doesn’t get any better than that!

The boat was $400 for 4 hours back then. Today it’s $1,500 for 2 hours. Still, I think it’s a cool idea for a wedding ceremony. To us, the wedding was a one day celebration,  and we decided to spend our money on something that would give us a little more bang for the buck… like a down payment on a house!

We are now together 22 years. I think it’s safe to say, we made it! 🙂
