Chicks Ready to Meet the Flock? Here’s How.

I have to put my two cents in here and add that size is an important factor when introducing new birds. In my opinion, young birds should be somewhat the same size if you want to help avoid bullying from the existing mature flock. It’s not at all uncommon for an existing flock to pick on the smaller birds, especially around feed. Put water and feed in two places to help assure your youngsters or newcomers have access.
